History of Modern Thought Cluster

Is it worth it? I'm thinking about taking this freshman cluster. I'm a physics major.

Depends what you mean by worth it. If you enjoy reading philosophy and learning about philosophers then it will be worth it in terms of enjoyment. For example I probably spent far mroe time and energy on my English classes than math classes in high school, but I thoroughly enjoyed it so it was 'worth' it for me.
If you're just looking at it in terms of work:grade ratio then it's not really worth it, there are easier classes out there.
It also gives honors credit, and a free writing class credit, so if you need those requirements then that will factor in.

search function.

try HMT for short.

has been discussed muchos...

You can always just take individual philosophy courses if you find the HMT syllabi dissatisfying for three quarters.

Don't take it! From everyone I've talked to its a horrible class

pages and pages and pages of reading...
but it's interesting/useful stuff
i learned more in that cluster than in any class i took freshman year
mostly because of the amount of reading and the instensity of the spring seminar

if you want an easy way to get through GEs don't take it
but if you are honestly interested in the syllabus and dont mind a bit of a challenge (compared to other options) then take it
