History of US/Middle East, Graduate Ranking

Could someone please share the best available rankings for graduate programs in the History of modern US/Middle East Relations?

There is plenty of info here on IR programs, and on History graduate rankings. I'm looking for PhD history programs that focus on the past 50 years or so of international relations with the Middle East. Specific countries of interest include Israel and Saudi Arabia. My goal is a doctorate in support of education and research.

US News delves into History grad program rankings, which is helpful, and I am aware of the implications of funding and of finding scholars whose research matches my own interests, nevertheless a broader perspective would reassure me that I'm looking in the right places. The bottom line: top 10 or so History Departments with expert Middle East and international relations scholarship.

Much appreciated.

There are no rankings that get that specific.

You can take my advice with a grain of salt but Id think youre best bet would be to look at programs with strong Middle East Studies Departments. U of Michigan, NYU, Columbia come to mind.

Thanks all. Trying to measure the odds of clicking well with an appropriately knowledgeable potential mentor/advisor in my area of interest, in addition to the notion of a strong, reputable history dept.

Better off looking for strong Near East/Middle East Studies. Most history departments have only one or two Middle East scholars… so you’ll need faculty members from other departments to make up your diss committee.
