Hi!Im a junior in high school and I am having a problem. I took high school level us history in 8th grade (middle school) and got my high school credits. This year I got into apush but I have the credits. I can’t take ap government or economics but I can take it as a regular class. So should I stick to apush or take gov and Econ? Will I look stupid to colleges because I am basically taking a class over again? Please help
Typically you will take AP Gov/Econ during your senior year. Is there a reason why you can’t?
No plenty of people take regular/honors bio and then take the AP version. What do you want to take? Typically from previous experiences of my peers, AP US History is a more difficult course and intensive than AP Government, but you may have a different experience based on your own strengths and your previous backgrouds
I can take it senior year just not junior year
I’d take apush, I think you’ll find it’s nothing like 8th grade us history. Also, the goal is to have history/social studies all 4 years of high school, so you won’t run out by senior year if you take apush this year and ap gov next year
