History v International Relations Major

I was wondering which major is considered more valuable, I am passionate about both of them, since a lot of History/IR seems to overlap.

Basically after I get my undergraduate I want to either

A) Go to get a masters in International Relations (John Hopkins SAIS, Georgetown SFS)

B) Go to law school

After that I will either pursue A) diplomacy (foreign service) or B) governmental law/ politics.

Which major is more valuable for my goals.

Thanks!

to the top

You can do a History/IR double major. I can't comment on how much more valuable one is over the other b/c I don't know.

haha yeah i think i might go to IR just cause thats my passion but i bet a lot of IR encompasses background history in the region.
