History vs. Physics?

I have a scheduling crisis which essentially forces me to make the choice between taking APUSH and Honors Physics and I'm debating which to do.

I have never been a science person and have absolutely no interest in physics. I do not intend to pursue a physics or science related field in college. I am a history/foreign languages person and intend to continue that in college. That said, however, taking APUSH over Physics means that there is no possible way for me to take ANY physics in high school. This doesn't concern me as far as my interests go, but will it serve as a hindrance to getting into college? (My first choice is Penn Huntsman.) My parents have made it clear that they'd prefer I took physics, but I'd really rather take APUSH.

I have already taken Biology, Chemistry, Honors USH, and AP Gov/Pol. These would be my junior and senior year schedules with each option (APUSH/Physics):

11th:
IB TOK
AP Calc BC
IB Spanish 6 HL
IB English HL
IB European History HL
Honors French 4
IB Environmental Science SL

12th:
IB TOK II (1 semester)/AP Macro (1 semester)
IB Math HL
IB Spanish 7 HL
IB English HL
IB European History HL
IB French 5 SL
Hon. Physics/APUSH

In this situation, am I too heavily weighted towards foreign language/history? Do you recommend that I take APUSH or Physics? (I'm in such a situation that the decision has to be made immediately!)

Thanks :)

“I have never been a science person and have absolutely no interest in physics” This should answer your question haha. I would do what you are the most interested in:)

Hey I’m in the same boat. Last year I had the choice of either AP Bio or Physics, I’m not much of a math/science person. I plan to major in history as well, so obviously recommend taking APUSH. This year I deferred it again and took Anatomy. Most people will probably tell you that not taking Physics looks horrible on college, but screw them! History majors, FTW!
