I was turning, and there was so many car, so I tried and turn into a spot but I bummbed the back of someone’s car. There was so many cars I had no where to go so I just left. Later we a call from a police officer asking me to come back, I got there in under 5 minutes and I apologied while crying and explained how I had a panic attack and needed to get home. I said sorry 100 times, gave them everything for my insurance.
Am I going to jail?
Will I never get a teaching job?
What is the fine for this?
I feel like a disgusting person. I got so nervous and so scared and so panicky. But the minute the police officer called I went back.
One time my DD bumped a car in a parking lot. She had her friend check for damage. Friend didn’t see any so they went on their way. But the owner oft he car saw the whole thing and was trying to wave them down. Police stopped by our house and my dd went to the station to give her statement. She at that point was not charged with a hit and run because she cooperated (said the police). She had a court date for a lesser charge, like unsafe driving or something. They like to settle those, so she pleaded to an even lesser charge like failure to yield or something and paid more fines so she didn’t get points on her license.
So I don’t think you are going to jail. It most likely will be a traffic ticket which will not be cared about by any employer. Probably under $500 but no idea. Going back was a good idea.
Next time just stop and at least leave a note.
