HKU/HKUST Admission Chance??

Hi,
I'm a student in Toronto, Canada.
I am a Korean citizen, but I've been studying in Toronto for 5 years as a visa student.
This year, I am applying for HKU and HKSUT as international student, and I am really worried that I might not make it.

At my school, I am getting about 94% average.
I have some extra curricular activities. I volunteer at the office of political member of Liberal Party, earned many awards in math competition, received 3rd place regional in Stock Market competition, play at orchestra, sing in school choir, etc....

My SAT I: 2100
Sat II: Math2 - 760
Chemistry - 710
AP Score: Calculus BC - 5

I am in a school that doesn't support neither SAT nor AP, so I had to study independently to achieve these scores.

I am applying for International Business Administration in HKU
and Global Business in HKUST.

If there's anyone who has some knowledge about HKU or HKUST, it would be great if you can reply.

Thank You for reading this post.

I have exactly same problem! I am from Earl Haig S.S (I have similar SAT scores as you, I took 4 AP exams last year but I only have a 88-90 average since it is only my second year in Canada) I also have lots similar awards, co-op, intern, part-time jobs, and clubs. I am kinda concerned about average cuz it’s kinda…low. You know how much possibility do I have to get into HKU? (Plus, I can speak both Mandarin and Cantonese, and scored 108 in TOEFL.

Hello both of you!

Have u guys gotten into HKUST? or HKU?

Here’s a CC trick that’s helpful: click on a member’s name, it will give you some options, including seeing other posts by the member. When you click that, you can see their posting history.

I you did that, you’d see that both of these members haven’t been active for over a year.

Closing old thread.
