HKU vs. Yonsei

Hi, I'm a college student in the US thinking of studying abroad at one of these through my current college, and i need help deciding.

i'm interested in HKU mostly for hong kong (chill lifestyle for foreign students, good food, etc.) and for the location (easy access to southeast asia for travel). hopefully i can take some business courses there, or maybe even do a business internship if that's possible. classes are all in english so that's not a concern, although i do speak cantonese and mandarin. i heard grading is pretty tough though, and that the course material sometimes isn't up-to-date.

i'm interested in yonsei cuz i think learning about korean politics and int'l relations would be interesting, cuz i have some interest in korean culture, and i could also learn more korean (which is a high priority but not a must-do for me). however, i heard the course offerings in english (through DIEE and underwood) are limited, and the courses aren't that great. also, the potential for internships would be more limited since i would only have an elementary level of korean by then. travel options are more limited. sinchon's a nice college town though, and being in korea would be a different cultural experience for me.

anyway, i mostly just want to know about the universities, academics, and college life. i've been to both hong kong and seoul before so i know about the surrounding environments already. convince me why i should do one over the other :)

thanks / mm goy sai / gamsa habnida

any thoughts on HKU or yonsei?

yonsei all the way lol
i will be quite biased on this one since i'm a korean myself.
i basically love korea, seoul... the technology, the opportunities, and so many things to do! i'm not sure about hong kong but college life in yonsei won't be disappointing.

Suggest you consider Hong Kong University of Science and Technology instead of HKU. Their Global Business program is the best business program in HK. And the campus is much nicer.

well, it's only for a study abroad program though, so i'd only be taking several courses in business... meaning i dont think the differences in academic departments would matter too much. also, HKUST is far away from the city and from the airport. i'd like to party a bit and travel a bit if i'm studying abroad.

but i did hear the HKUST campus is really nice and is all "indoor."
