Hello, I am an Indonesian student applying for the HKUST undergraduate program in Engineering for the 2017/2018 term.
So, I have just finished my National exam and got the results a few days ago. My conditional offer was to achieve an overall score of 85%, mathematics score of 85%, and physics sore of 85%. My overall score is 88.9%, with the score of math 95%, and physics 82.5%. Based on my score, I do not pass as my physics score lacks 2.5% from the minimum requirements. Thus I have written an appeal letter and mailed it to them yesterday, on 5th May 2017.
My questions are
- How are my chances of getting an acceptance, based on my score and my conditional offer?
- How long will I get a reply email, stating whether my appeal got accepted or not?
- Are there any examples of an applicant to successfully appeal on the previous years?
