This is for the lack of a better and more sophisticated word shady... The part where the dad gets involved and pushy, the quote in the end (and we were worried that our reasons for transfer are shallow), the way that the guy does not support but disses his school, the attempt to overstay your welcome, the pointless letters, the publicity.

Oh Tulane, release my son, his eyes have opened for the [vapid] things your campus lacks. If Harvard gives the nod to that kid, I will be very disappointed.

I am versy sad about what happened at Tulane, but this brings out my indignation. Sorry.

P.S. there are some weird banners on the crimson website.

I agree. Its like their trying to profit from their ordeal...

meh, i wouldn't want to leave harvard either.

Although giving Tulane students a place to study for a while was an ostensibly gracious move, you have to admit, it was rather cruel in a way. Sort of like giving a kid a lollipop for a few sucks and then ripping it out of their mouth.

they were already "forced" to leave...but I wonder, did any school to which the tulane kids went let them stay?

Although it would be awesome for the visiting students to extend their stay in Harvard permanently, do you know how ****ed many rejected applicants from the previous semester or year would be? They'd be so jealous. However, I pray for the best to Tulane students.

I think that they definitely should accept some transfers, but this article shows the questionable motives of this particular student.

yeah. i have a friend at U of Michigan who was able to stay, he didn't get into mich as a freshman, he was going to tulane
