Current College List:
Bucknell, George Washington, American, Penn State, Pitt, Temple, West Virginia, and a few smaller local safeties

Bucknell-Reach
GW-Slight reach/Match
All of the others are good matches/safe matches. Your SAT's are kind of holding you back. 1190 is definetly respectable, but you need to get it into the high 1200s and low 1300s to make a school like Bucknell possible. If you can attain that I'd also look at Lehigh, Lafayette, University of Richmond, Wake Forest, etc. As it is now I would add Villanova and Loyola Maryland (if you are not opposed going to a Catholic affiliated school) and maybe one of Lehigh/Lafayette/Richmond/Wake (or that caliber of school). You have a good list though as you should get into most of American, Penn State, Pitt, Temple, WVU. Just make sure you have a safety you absolutely love.

Hmm, safety I love...I should look into that. I think my SAT scores should be around 1300 when I get them. I've considered Lehigh, I'll look into that. I won't go to a Catholic school though, so that leaves out 'Nova. I should've said that I'm looking for political science or international politics/relations.

Why West Virginia? Hahah that seems so random compared to the others..

I've seen you before on the American U boards, so obviously you know how awesome it is for political science/IR. George Washington to me is overpriced and overrated, but it definitely has a good program, too.

I'd say AU is a match/safety, and GWU is a match. The other ones in PA should also be matches, with Pitt and Temple probably safeties. Bucknell would probably be a reach..
You probably already knew all of that, though^^ :)

And if you get like a 1300 you might as well apply to Georgetown. A white male got in from my school with a 1920 SAT (he was also w/l from Villanova).

I know leah, West Virginia is kinda random. It's not too far (closest other than Pitt), and I have family down there so I've been around the town and like it. I like how their political science department is set-up too, but it would probably be a last resort. Thanks for the replies so far...anymore?

Yeah---and I've heard so many stories of kids getting rejected at main campus but getting into Pitt (my family's from Pittsburgh and I have some friends there)..
