Based on what you’ve posted, I would guess that you’d get in. I’m an out-of-state freshman at UNC-CH right now and I’d say that your stats look very impressive. I have no idea what your essays are like, but your test scores and grades will do a lot for you. Also, consider some merit scholarships like the Morehead-Cain, Robertson, and various Carolina scholarships. If your school is a nominating school, you should try to obtain the nomination for Morehead-Cain (but the application deadline is October 1st, so you might be a little late on that front). However, I know a good number of freshman MC scholars who were pulled out of the regular application pool and asked to apply for the MC, so be aware of that. The Robertson has a separate application, and I’m not sure whether or not the Carolina scholarships do, but all of these are full-tuition scholarships as well. You probably have a decent chance of getting one of these scholarships, but this also depends on your interview skills and your ability to sell yourself and what you’ve done. Definitely apply for some merit scholarships at the other places you’re applying (Ingram and Cornelius at Vanderbilt, Emory Scholars at Emory, AB/University/etc. at Duke, and WashU’s full-ride merit program whose name has slipped my mind). And good luck with all of your applications!
