hmm. has anyone sent peer recs and got in?

I'mn deferred, and I'm debating whether or not to have the peer rec that my Stanford friend wrote for me submitted. He's been my best friend for almost 10 years and would have lots to write about me. But I'd hate that nagging regret if I sent it and didn't get in because they were annoyed.

(I've already sent in essay replacement and the love letter.)

Peer recs are inconsequential to a Yale decision. You've added two items and now you wish to submit a third, extrememly biased (and therefore un-useful) item. You're seriously about to drive off the ANNOYING cliff if you haven't already done so. Don't do it. Let it lie. Stay off of CC. Enjoy life.

I agree with T26E4 (gosh, that took me 10 seconds to type :p)
a peer evaluation would not be efficient..on the contrary, it could harm you to a certain extent

Just Say No.

You've done what you can and now it's up to Yale. Don't succumb to the temptation to send in more stuff--it won't help and at some point will hurt. Focus on enjoying the next few months 'cause it gets pretty stressful in mid-March!
