So basically there is an Yale alumni interviewer in my area (I was notified through a letter from Yale) , but he has not contacted me for an interview yet. Should I just go ahead and call him and tell him about this letter or should I patiently wait for him to contact me? Any advice? (Please include your two cents worth!...)

Take the initiative and call.

Unless it says on the letter to wait for him to call you. In that case, call Yale and tell them that you have not been contacted yet.

Call. Interview reports are due to Yale on February 15. Be polite and if an interview can't be arranged, be gracious.
