<p>Okay, I got that feeling as well when I came to CC. Don't feel that way. A few of these people are lying, but I can't say that the majority is. There have been a couple of threads about this already, so you're not the only one. Remember that CC is only a portion of 235443252342 high school students, and you're probably in the top X% of this group, so don't feel bad. You're smarter than most high school students. Be proud of that.</p>
<p>Ah, alright. Thanks for the assurance, Lol. I mean, SERIOUSLY. The other day I was reading a thread and I came across this dude who had THREE PATENTS! And holy cow, look at all of those AP classes! My school doesn't even offer that many. -.-</p>
<p>And I noticed your awesome random amount of "235443253242". I love punching in random insane numbers as well when I roughly "estimate" overwhelming statistics.</p>
<p>Haha. Yeah, I punch in random insane numbers. Chop off four of those numbers if you want a better estimate.</p>
<p>Patents are not very common among high school students. Don't compare yourself to that. There are AP overachievers as well, but most people are not like that. Just keep in mind that CC is not representative of the high school population.</p>
<p>I have never known any student who held a patent, and yet they still are accepted to elite schools.</p>

<p>Ok about 75% or more here have a leg up on me in testing/GPA/EC/awards. But I bet I could still take almost anyone in Jeopardy! Harrr! </p>
<p>O ya Danny, my case is about the same as yours.</p>
<p>Same for me. In school..everyone thinks i'm really smart, including the teachers, but I haven't taken anywhere near the amount of coursework nor do I have the ivy league aspirations as many of the people here on CC. </p>
<p>But hey, it's better to be around motivated people who actually are going to go places, than another forum where that is not the case.</p>
