hmmm.. Is my obsession being tracked?

Hey all,

Just as I logged onto MyMit for probably the sixth time today...keeping in mind that it is only 1 PM...I got to thinking....I really hope they have no way of tracking how many times someone has logged on to their account and for how long. My obsession would be discovered.. :P

Any thoughts on tracking....

PS. I am not just sitting at home checking the MyMit site all day.. I actually am working two jobs this summer...how you might ask do I have time....pff..I don't know...5 min here and there...

i don't think they track...because i checked probably five times a day and i got in.

umm, they have the potential to tell how many times you've logged in, and probably can tell, but it wouldn't make any difference.

it certainly wouldn't affect any admissions decisions.

how can the # of times you log on to myMIT affect admission decisions?!

So many kids log on... I highly doubt they'll bother to track over 10,000 students who take a look at it. Those of us from the '09 cycle were just as obsessive as you, so don't worry :)

I am a very important head admissions officer and I can tell you that anybody wants to go to MIT so badly that they check it 5 times a day or more, they are almost categorically rejected.

---an admissions person

lol.. admissions person at age 18. ok.

do not waste time on checking myMIT... as we did :).

Lol - I've checked it like 6 times today.

LOL - we built the site so you'd check it a lot - that's the POINT. :-) But no, we don't track individual users; there are far too many of you.
