<p>If you write a crappy joint degree essay…will the adcoms hold it against you when considering you for your single degree option?</p>
<p>I'm not doing joint degree, cause i dont want them to think that i only want to attend if i get into jerome fisher, and would blow them off if i just got into SEAS (which is not the case :)).</p>
<p>I don't think they would hold it against you, but I think if you write a really good essay it will help you.</p>

<p>if you are rejected from joint degree to be considered to single degree they get rid of all the joint degree stuff and look at your application like you were always a single degree person (or so I was told by the joint degree and admissions people)</p>
