hmmm.... To re-take or not to take?

So basically ... 700 on sat ii physics (june). I am more a chemistry/biology oriented student, but still ...

1) what would you CC'ers recommend? is it worth it to try to retake physics in october / november? or should i just call it quits?

2) ohh which brings me to my next question. what i take a total of 4 sat ii's (including physics) - can i just put my top 3 and leave out physics?

3) can you get your subject tests hand-scored?

thanks so much in advance!!

Doesn't hurt to retake. I'm sure you can do better. Just to put things in perspective...700 is not that bad of a score. If you can improve 50+ points, go for it. Otherwise, try to bank on other things when you apply.

Most colleges only have room for two scores. Some elite schools (JHU, Harvard, Princeton, probably a few more privates) require 3. Keep in mind CollegeBoard sends all your scores; however, you can only list 2/3 SAT IIs for evaluation.

I think so? I never had any of my tests hand-scored, but I would think you can. Sorry, not much help here.

If you're a chemistry/biology person, then just submit a good subject test score for those two. But 700 is not an atrocious score...It's nothing that will make Hamlet cry. Your topic title on the other hand...different story ;) Haha.

Good luck.
