hmmm

Just Kidding. But I want you all to read this. My best friend just got deferred. Does anybody know the acceptance rate for deferrals? I need to know this ASAP!

Thanks kids.

About 4%

I know! How depressing!

i believe it is like 3-4%....

Well when you consider the rate for RD is about 11%, it is impossible for the admission rate of deferred people to be above that.

The website says that about 80-200 deferrees get accedpted in april. So divide that by 4000 ED applicants, that gives you something along the lines of 2-5%, depending on the year.

One thing that many deferred CCers are forgetting is that there's no way that they weren't near the upper sections of the deferred students.

The percentage of deferred students who get in RD may be low, but someone gets in this way, and if someone does, you all certainly have a great shot.

i don't know why they don't just cut more people early if they will only accept 80-200 deferrals. its not helping people on the lower end of the deferrals to think "...well i was deferred. maybe i still have a chance here, or at other colleges of similar caliber." 135/4140 rejected is stupid. thats just 3000 more apps they have to deal with in feb
