<p>I just got an email today and I got the Hudson Trust Scholarship for $26,500 a year for four years. It is not a need-based scholarship nor is it for underepresented minorities from what I can tell. Does anyone else know more about it? Did anyone else from CC get it?</p>

<p>My friend who received a Hodson trust scholarship got into Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell, Duke, Northwestern, UPenn, Emory, Vanderbilt, WUSTL, etc…but rejected by Princeton lol.</p>
<p>Hodson trust scholars are TOP NOTCH. Congratulations! Twenty three of the incoming class recieves it. It’s from the Hodson trust fund, kinda similar to the Duke Endowment that gives out money to Hopkins, and 3 other schools for scholarship purposes.</p>
<p>I got the email too. Do you think you are going to JHU since you got the scholarship?</p>
<p>Damn, I was really hoping for this. Without it JHU is just too expensive…Does anyone know if they are still notifying applicants?</p>

well, since there are only 23 people who gets it. I think they could probably e-mail everyone on the same day. So its probably certain that you didn’t get it. Hey, i’m with ya though. I didn’t get it either and needed it to be able to afford JHU. :(</p>
<p>Yea I think it pretty much sealed the deal for me, I am still waiting to hear back from Brown but considering this scholarship I think it would be dumb to pass up.</p>

<p>Congrats on the Hodson Scholarship. I’m a Hodson scholar as well - the program (from what I’ve been told) is intended to recruit students who can contribute to the Hopkins community. It’s a very selective scholarship and all applicants are considered. They hold one scholarship luncheon during the year and occasionally mail you random gifts, but beyond that, it’s pretty hands-off, as scholarships go.</p>
<p>My friend got the scholarship!! I just found out about it yesterday from him, but I’ll be sure to tell him that he will also get mailed free gifts in addition to the $100,000.</p>
