Hoe hard is it to change major to engineering?

I’m applying to UCLA, UCB and UCSD as a physics major. I love physics, but I’m also interested in computer science, comp eng, and EE. I’m applying through physics because I know it is a lot easier to get in than engineering, but I hope it would be possible to change to the college of engineering later on. I want to maximize my chances of getting into the college first.

you always can, but I heard it may take a semester to do so. since youre going in as physics, you probably similar classes, but i dont know. I went in as engineering undeclared to play it safe, but i get it. I know people going in as oceanography and geology majors, and they switched.

It is incredibly hard to change into engineering at UCLA and UCB. You would be taking a huge risk going there thinking you could change. Getting into engineering at UCSD or CS at UCB is possible but would require very high grades before you could make the change.
