<p>How is Hofstra University in the sciences as opposed to other schools on the Long Island (I know Stony Brook is better but i didn't get in). This includes Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry etc. Thanks</p>
<p>its ok hofstra rep! Ive been in some of the science buildings but not as much as some of the other kids at the day camp...i went to yrs ago there...but supposably the science areas r good..HOfstras ok...lots of long islanders(north shore represent!)</p>
<p>Well, it's worse than Stony Brook. What other schools are even on Long Island? Adelphi? CW Post? I guess it's better than those, sure. Not that this is such an accomplishment.</p>
<p>cw post yay...5 seconds from my house im going there...not! hmm adelphi.hmm if i want my childhood as a camper/nursery student/childhood racing around the grounds/getting kicked out of camp there as bad as a 8 y/o can get kicked out for.. at waldorf school of garden city its literally next door to adelphis main campus...the camp used adelphis huge pool i remember</p>
<p>Some helpful advice would be appreciated. Is it significantly better than adelphi/cw.post. etc.. or are they pretty much similiar in science fields, strengthwise. by the way, this is including all schools on the island including the boroughs, excluding Columbia.</p>

<p>bump 10 char....Also how realistic is it to get into NYU or Stonybrook ....Right now my college GPA is 4.0 even though its very early in the year. I have already stated i am attending Hofstra for spring 07, but surely this can be rescinded, am i correct?..Would I be better off saying no to Hofstra(I have been accepted there for spring, and im attending Adelphi now) and getting my GPA up and applying to either school? (Stonybrook is very good in sciences and so is NYU) Or say yes to Hofstra and attending there for spring. Please help me out I need all the help I can get. Thanks.</p>
