@bkg I believe you posted to an old Hofstra account
I did thanks- I haven’t heard either way and I was wondering if Hofstra posts about being deferred or if they send a letter. My status went from EA1 to EA2 . I applied in October so I suspect that I got deferred. Someone last year had a similar situation but didn’t say what ended up happening.
congrats to your daughter! Her stats sound amazing. Mine aren’t nearly as good so I’m sure that I probably got deferred.
My D22 got the presidential scholarship for $33k over 4 years. Her stats: 3.9uw/4.5w, 20/500 rank, 1350(670math,680reading), 6 AP, other classes all honors.

Bkg don’t give up - they are definetly looking at things more holistically.
My kid had a disastrous freshman year, and as a result their GPA is nowhere near what it should be. Even though the next three years were all A’s and high B’s.

I got moved from EA1 to EA2 and my admission counselor asked me for an interview. Does this usually happen?
DS just got the supplemental for BS/MD this morning.
Is that an invitation to apply for that now? Sounds good!
I just wish the cost of attendance wasn’t so high to begin with.
@Winky1 true. But it’s not too bad for NY after scholarship compared to others.
Yes - they require him to complete a few more essays, Casper test and the he gets invited for an interview
Got an email today requesting an interview. I saw another post with the same situation.
