Hold?

Does anybody know what "hold" means under the decision column in TU Portal? It looks as follows:

Admission Term: 2011 Fall

I have heard they often want to see senior grades. Should I send them? My GPA is 3.5, but my SAT is low (M-500, C-510, W-610). I am very worried because I know housing can be limited.

I have a 3.551 with all A's and B's in a very rigorous course load (3 AP's and and the rest are honors) in my first semester of senior year. I sent in my transcript and SAT scores on , submitted the application, and paid the fee on October 10th, but they initally lost my transcript. I sent another one and they didn't update my TUportal until December 15th. What should I do? Thanks.

They can’t make a decision at the moment so they put your application to the side.

I was wondering the exact same thing because this is what mine says too.
Is “hold” the same thing as waitlisted or are they two different things?

I’d guess it means hold for an additional review.

I was put on hold too! I have about a 3.4-3.6 GPA, I got a 1660 on my SATs (M:510 W: 610 CR: 540). I have taken Honors & CP. No On Level or AP though. My dad emailed Temple & they said that “hold” means they’re taking a 2nd look at your application. Temple also recommends sending them updated grades if you’re on hold. So I sent them my Fall grades (which were amazing [all As!]). All I can say is be patient! Your GPA is great & your SAT isn’t too bad so you have a good chance of being accepted (:

I got put on hold too. Does anyone know when the final decision will be made by?

Mine said the same thing. Last month, I had a few problems with my application…wrong major, wrong name for the CC I’m transferring from, and it was holding for HS transcripts they I really didn’t have to send in. I had to call to get all of this fixed.

Then I checked yesterday and I got in! Best congratulations out of any of the school website’s I’ve been admitted to so far.
