This is the one I currently have. I have another one (dedicated to our camper) I got on Amazon–an off brand–that works just as well.
I have fine, thin hair and ordered this after seeing this thread. It is great – so much quicker and easier than a blow dryer, and makes my hair look so much better. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LSUQSB0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Thanks! I put it in my cart and might go ahead and buy it soon.
Hurray! Another convert!! Glad you are liking it.
I have one and find it uncomfortably heavy. It works nicely, but it’s too heavy for me to use regularly.
I bought one last year and found it cumbersome and too hot to handle comfortably. I must not be doing something right. Please post any suggestions for how to use. I gave up quickly and went back to my blow dryer.
Oh, I agree it’s heavy, large, neither sleek nor attractive, and cumbersome, and I’m not crazy about the space it occupies on the bathroom counter while not in use.
But, for me, the results and time savings are worth it. I just kind of pick up a section of hair near the scalp and hold it there without moving for a bit, aiming for some lift, then slowly move it down toward the bottom of my hair and hold it there for another bit, aiming for a gentle curl/shaping. My hair is very fine and thin, just below shoulder length, so it doesn’t take that many passes to dry. I can imagine that this contraption might be much more challenging for those of you are lucky enough to have thicker or fuller hair!
Amazon offer free returns for the item I purchased, so it might be worth trying for anyone on the fence.
Costco sells it, too. Great return policy.
It is heavy. I hear ya!
What I initially did when it would get too heavy is just use my regular bow dryer to dry the roots. Then I’d switch to the built in brush dryer to complete the remaining 75% moderately wet hair.
I do the same! Use a blow dryer to dry the roots and then use the Revlon brush: picking up a section of my hair, holding it a few seconds at the root, running down to the ends and holding the ends for a few seconds wrapped around the brush. Only takes a couple of passes for each section and it ends up looking like a salon blowout. I do agree that it is a bit big and cumbersome (I don’t bring it with me on a trip if I’m flying) but don’t think it’s that heavy.
I gave my mother a hand warmer (it’s also a power pack for recharging phones but she’ll NEVER figure that out). At first she didn’t like it and couldn’t figure out how to turn it on and off. I made her keep trying and finally she likes it and uses it all the time.
She went to a funeral in Mass this weekend and I made her take it with her, thinking my brother could help her use it as a power pack if necessary. Well, it was a big hit with all her 88 year old friends and now I’ve just sent one to my uncle and aunt, my mother’s cousin, and the wife of the guy who died. I guess when there is 24 inches of snow on the ground, everyone needs a hand warmer.
So from dud to fantastic gift in one month.

I just put that on my Amazon list. Thanks @twoinanddone
Daughter took up birding during COVID lockdowns, so I gave her my old Canon point-and-shoot camera which I had upgraded. It has a very nice 40x optical zoom. She used Shutterfly to make us all calendars using her birding photos. Each month features a different bird. A big hit this Xmas!!!
Lol!!!
Really late on this one, but after reading the rave reviews I finally bought the Revlon hot brush thingy and…I’m in love. It dries my fine, flat, frizz-prone hair quickly, gives it volume, and - miracle of miracles - I can skip the flat iron! Thanks to all who recommended it.
i’m so Late on this GAH. but ehh anyways What I asked for basically last year was An evil eye necklace, crystals, more Band shirts, chucks (all star high tops) and a blanket from Tnbc aka (the nightmare before Christmas). and What i basically got was The blanket, a Nirvana/ linkin Park shirt, new vans, A $25 gift card to amazon, a New blow dryer/straightener and That’s all i can remember!
