Hey CCers! I was accepted EA for Georgetown College a week ago. Today as I was checking the mail I noticed a hand written card from Jaime Briseno, the senior associate director of undergraduate admissions, just saying happy holidays and congratulations. I was just wondering if any of you got it, and if it has any significancejust a little curious.

All students accepted EA can expect a holiday from the admissions officer that read their file. It’s there way of showing that they actually know who you are/care about you. :)

i haven’t gotten one yet! :(

My son also received one yesterday. it was quite nice of them writing some personal notes on it.

I got one with a personal note about one of my essays.

god, wish I could edit that. *their way of showing

argh…i’m so jealous lol i still haven’t gotten one yet! do you know if all ea acceptees got one? :/

Cuddlemecozy: Only their favorites. lol jk I think so. It’s not Christmas yet, so be patient ;)

hahaha just got mine in the mail today! the note was such a sweet touch :)

Did anyone else’s holiday card say something along the lines of “I think that your wisdom and insight will make you a great addition to the Georgetown community”? I just want to see how personalized the cards really were.

SeniorOhboy: Ditto. Did yours also say “I think your unparalleled prowess and irrestible charm might escalade you into the white house one day?”

Jk. Mine didn’t really say that ;)

Lol that’d be pretty awesome if they wrote that. When you say ditto are you saying yours had that quote word for word?

No, I was just joking about the ditto. The cards are personalized. One of the admissions reps said he enjoyed reading about one of my mission trips and that he hoped I would take advantage of the travel abroad opportunites at Georgetown.

has anyone else not gotten theirs yet? i’m still waiting :(
