Honestly…the jam and jelly is very good. I buy it all the time. It’s family history is interesting if true, but I would buy the product anyway!
I bought my niece the 8 pack last week and had it sent to her. She sent me a pic Monday morning of her bagel with one of the spreads. I told her task now was to figure out a good purpose for all the little empty jars!
Spices….shots of whiskey……
The 8 pack was ALOT smaller package/packaging then the calendar
These little jars are good for storing saved tomato and other seeds.
A friend told me how their family handled Christmas gifts for extended family, and I thought it was a novel idea worth sharing.
Each year families keep track of the new products they love. Often it’s food items, but not always. Then in late November or early December, each immediate family votes on which product(s) to gift to all the extended families. They are lucky to have most of their extended families living nearby, so they have a large celebratory gathering to share the gifts, but I think it could work for across-the-miles families, too.
Here’s a list from CNN.com of a whole bunch of Advent calendars –

Baboon to the Moon is the company where I bought my sons Fanny pack. Yesterday I got notice that those bags, plus the slings and many others, are 70% off. Some colors are not included.
I did a Same Day Costco Instacart order today and got the Lindt Advent Calendars for my son and his roommate. They are huge! I usually order the ones from Dylan’s Candy Bar, but thought the Lindt would be a nice change.
Last year for Christmas, as a last minute impulse buy, I got my son a boxed set of premixed cocktails from Costco. He really enjoyed them. Has anyone seen anything like that this year? Please let me know if you do…thank you!
Sugarfina has an Advent calendar and also this 8-treat box for Hanukkah:

If anyone sees the amazing buys we saw last year on Nespresso machines, please post!
I bought one for my DIL last year but my family now tells me it’s time for me to have my own! (so they can use it when they come over…haha)
Huzzah! Here it is on Superfina’s web site, and there was a 15% off first time pop up. I would get it for son but he wouldn’t like any of the candies.

Bummer! Apparently, some machines were on sale as the “national coffee day” promotion. Ended October 1st! I would wait… there might be more sales coming if the economy is as shaky as they say it is.
ETA: don’t kill the messenger. Just passing on what I found by googling. Was not withholding the information from y’all.
Another advent “calendar”
I was trying to edit my last post, but can’t find the invisible edit button.

Zingerman’s catalog is out with early holiday items. Definitely not a place for bargain hunting but if you have real fruitcake lovers on your holiday list - I can wholeheartedly recommend the following:
Computers are so smart. I clicked on the Total wine link above and a pop up for one of the ballot measures came up - the one to allow liquor stores to have more than 3 store front locations on one license.
Big brother IS watching.
I don’t know if this Bonne Maman item was posted, but my local Costco has a 12-days of Christmas set of Bonne Maman minis for $13.99 or thereabouts.
That’s a good price—will look for it as we are going o Costco now.
Shucks—our Costco doesn’t have the 12 days spread nor the Walkers shortbread.
Oh well. Different merchandise at different places.
@HImom - H got the Walker’s shortbread at our Costco 3 weeks ago since he was afraid it would sell out.
