D1 has this alarm clock on her list. (Yes, she is 33 and still prefers an alarm clock not her phone)
Wondering if anyone has experience with it.

I got one of these a few months ago and love it so much that I got one each for D, S, and my mom for a Christmas gift!

Year-rounder here!
My husbands siblings finally called a truce on inter-sibling gifting- same as many of the other posters, none of us needs or wants more stuff. Now we give presents to the kids, give each other our favorite wine (with a firm price cap!) find from the previous year, and plan a sibling get-together as the real ‘gift’.
We have been on the ‘experience > stuff’ bandwagon for a long time- our kids are well used to getting a stocking and an adventure. Like everything else the idea of giving ‘experiences’ as gifts has been commercialized, and this year I discovered that Richard Branson’s outfit (Virgin) has an experience website: they list various kinds of experiences all over the world, and you can buy them for yourself, or get/send a gift voucher. Some are ones you could figure out how to do yourself, but it’s a great way to get ideas! Others are very location specific, things you wouldn’t know existed otherwise. I found things for my brothers in CA and NH , as well as for the London-based offspring, on the site.
One non-supply chain impacted present idea, that always gets a great reception, is finding a really good picture of a friend, printing it and putting it in a 3x5 or 5x7 frame. At this stage of life, most of us don’t have many pictures of ourselves that aren’t family/group pictures- and even fewer pictures that we like of ourselves! For my FIL, who is slowly sliding into dementia, we got one of those digital frames, with an app that lets all of us send pictures to him (including old old photos- take a pic of the pic & send it to the frame).
At the risk of my computer being overwhelmed with ‘naughty bits’ for the rest of its life if I search “virgin experiences” might you have a link you could provide?
Genuinely lol’ed!
My husband’s family still does gifting each year, and we alternate which sibling and family we buy for each year. Our match from last year was perfectly happy doing donations instead of buying gifts (it was two males). This year, when we suggested it, it was like a personal affront to the sibling (female). We eventually decided the “kids” (youngest is 25) will get gifts, and we will donate for adults.
I would LOVE IT if the entire family could pick a charity each year and all donate instead of swapping gift cards or possibly getting unwanted un-returnable gifts from “local vendors.”
We live near the beach (as do both of our daughters) so I ordered each of them one of the double towels for Christmas. Today they have 30% off of your order. D1 told me in the summer that she would like one of these and I know that D2 would also like one too.
