Just wondering what internationals do during the holidays. What if internationals choose not to go home during the fall/spring break? Are they allowed to stay on campus? Are there any opportunities for travel?

What about those internationals who are on financial aid? Are they allowed to take part in summer programs when they are expected to earn money over the summer as part of their financial aid package?

Does princeton provide financial support for summer study programs?

thanks

You're always allowed to stay on campus during the breaks, but a lot of stuff shuts down. Usually only one dining hall stays opens, and you have to buy a special meal plan for that week.

As I understand it, if you study abroad over the summer, the financial aid people don't expect you to make as much money (for obvious reasons).

Many of the summer programs are heavily subsidized by the university.

I actually like staying on campus during breaks -- it's kinda quiet and pretty outside, and since at least a few friends are usually on campus, you can go up to the city or rent movies, or whatever. Sometimes athletes are required to stay over breaks because of practice / competitions and such.

Hi Bentley :-P I sort of forgot who you were until I looked at one of your back posts and realized you live 2 doors down from me. Oops. Anyway, I hope things are warm in VA!

I second that frozen-tears, I rather like staying on campus. Its very relaxing and beautiful when there are no classes to go to, and it's nice to walk around campus or the town.
