The reason I had consistent A’s and B’s during my high school career is because of my schedule (crew 6 hours a week, basketball was 8 hours a week, teaching was 6, and working every Friday-Sunday). I kept myself VERY busy, and that had a negative impact on my grades. I hope UVa reviews holistically for people like me.
SAT: My SAT scores are no bueno…I have taken the SAT 3 times, and gotten a 540 in both writing and critical reading, and a 450 in math…standardized testing is not my forté. I spent countless hours and money on trying to improve my score. I would take 1 SAT test at my house each week through programs and books. Bleh!
GPA weighted is 3.9
7 AP’s all in all in high school. The rest all honors except in math each year. Wish I had a love for math and the amazing skills some people acquire, but my love became language.
