These two brands are really popular in my school.
Why is that so?
Is it because of the advertisement set on the clothing, since the name brand is always big and bold on the t-shirts or jackets?
Do any of you own a piece of hollister or abercrombie clothing? I do, but I wear it less often now.

I have no idea why it's so popular. It's rather overpriced if you ask me. I used to buy a lot of Abercrombie though but I've been growing out of it.

I have a sweatshirt from Abercrombie. I like it cause I think it's hella warm.

&yeah too overpriced, and the economy is kinda down right now.

i own nothing, but almost all of the preppy/elite college bound kids at my school wear tons of a+f/hollister.

All you norcal people and "hella".......

Socal is cooler anyway :)

I have one abercrombie polo but it looks like crap now with lots of wrinkles.

No, I own nothing from those stores. The kids at my school river don't care about their appearances and this wouldn't spend $80 on jeans or would never be caught in school low-quality and common clothes. These are he ones with good taste who shop at Nordstrom, Saks, Ralph Lauren, and good for high-end jean brands like 7s, CoH, Diesel, and occasionally Evisu and D&G, among others.

I have a lot of clothes from there, mainly shirts. I agree that most of their clothes are overpriced, and almost all of my clothes from there I got in the clearance section. I've gotten tops for $10 so I think that's pretty good. If I see something I really want I just wait for it to go in clearance then buy it. Also not all of their clothes have the name big and bold across it. I usually hate that and all of my shirts don't have the name on it at all, just a little icon in the corner. I don't know why I like it so much but I do, not because a lot of other people wear it though. Everything but their jeans seem to fit me well so that's good too. Anyways.. :)

I see it a lot at my school. I personally don't like going into those stores because if I have that much money to spend on clothes I'd rather spend it on books (: Ah, and the smell of those places..naaah, no thanks.

i love the smell of abercrombie

i used to hate it. but i love it now :)

Gotta love the elitism. There are people who scoff at Diesel for being low-quality. Only APC and Dior Homme for them!

Who really cares?

I stopped buying from abercombie, there clothes are too expensive. I do buy shirts and knits from hollister, because they feel good and fit me well. If there was another store that sold shirts and knits that fit as well as hollister, i'd buy from there instead, but I can't find one. I buy my pants and hoodies from random places.

hmmm ... are you sure about that? hahaha jkjk, my "bad influence" of a best friend got me out of the "don't call people retards" and "i dont say hella even though i was pretty much raised here" habit. anddd i wanna go to UC Irvine/UC San Diego ... BUT Davis IS my first choice.

"Gotta love the elitism. There are people who scoff at Diesel for being low-quality. Only APC and Dior Homme for them!"

Of course there are. But how can such sartorial elitism be scorned when people buy Abercrombie to fit into the 'cool' crowd? Why would it then be surprising that others flaunt their tastes, which is actually good?

P.S.: Red Monkey Jeans as well. And DSquared.

i wanna go to UC Irvine/UC San Diego ... BUT Davis IS my first choice.

^omg norcal all the way high fives

hah im kinda the opposite... this year i started to buy all my clothes from these 2 stores... jeans shirts sweatshirts... everything!

I have a few things from A&F, but I only get them if they're a great bargain and I ABSOLUTELY love them. That's how I shop for all my clothes, really, so I guess I'm just a little frugal...
But my sister had a friend who would ONLY wear Abercrombie. It's so ridiculous - just because there's a moose on the shirt doesn't mean it's worth your weight in gold.

I have so many Hollister shirts and sweaters, but nothing on A&F. I like their overall layout designs better.

Once some of you kids get into the 'real' world, you'll realize people who have a clue laugh at you for wearing such trash.

Seriously TUOwls, let us relish our high school lives while we've still got them. We will wear whatever trash we want to, as long as it is what everyone else is wearing.

This is not that moment in our lives were we accept maturity. I will laugh at dirty jokes and make fun of other people whether you like it or not.

I dare you to challenge my stubborn and not-yet-fully-developed teenage brain and equally unyielding opinions.
