How am I looking?

I know you've significantly increased your chances at every school on your list as a result of the updated SAT scores, although I can't say for sure to what effect your extracurriculars/awards will have on adcoms.

(Personally, I think your grades/scores/activities are all very good, but don't trust me completely on that one! I just happen to be a Parade magazine fanatic. :))

Was this 1370 your old CR/M/W combined? That's a hella improvement!

In at Dayton and Scranton, not sure about the rest.

uh....i don't think it was combined....

You are in at St. Louis University, with a shot at the Presidential scholarship. You will get merit money from them.

Well, I think you're in at Scranton with scholarship money.

wow, i did not know it was possible to get 100 in english.
i guess america is as easy as they say

i agree with Hansen to get over 90 in my school (enlgihs) is like God coming down to earth again.neays .. how long did it take u to raise ur SAT mark? please pleae tell me!~!!! im sitting at 1600 righ tnow.. (Practice SATS only) i ahvent done the real one.. but my goa l is 2200+..im getting like 450 ish in math..but again. i think i need some review , ..id idnt have math since like 1-2years ago.since my school ihas a semester.system.

-- UVA - really good chance
-- UNC, chapel hill- really good chance
-- U south carolina - in

-- Vanderbilt - in
-- University of Dayton - in
-- University of Scranton- in
-- UPENN-really good chance
-- Cornell-really good chance
-- Brown?-really good chance
-- Emory?-in
-- St. Louis University ($$??) (did you mean WustL ?)

I think datadriven is right and isn't Cornell almost a lock as an instate resident?

I seriously cried when I got my scores. I had 1370/2100 before, which was okay, but now its just like life changing. I can get merit aid and go to practically any school I want to, except like obviously ivies... but wow. I never in my whole life thought I'd even see a 1300, no less a 1490! :-D I studied for about 5 months doing a big book of practice tests. The math was so hard to raise. 550 PSAT --> 690 2nd SAT. That was very hard for me. But just do lots of practice!!

Any suggestions of other schools I'd get merit $$ from?
Do I really have a shot at UPenn?? :-)

You are not likely to get merit aid even with this score at top 20 schools (slight chance at Vanderbilt). It would be not good enough for significant merit aid at WustL, Emory, JHU, CMU. etc. If you want to get merit aid you would have to go with colleges in 30-50 range or below (USC, Case Western, etc.).

BUMPPP

Thanks!
