Hey, so I'm headed for Holy Cross College in Indiana and I was wondering if there are any people out there from the freshman Class of 2015? I'd really like to talk to other freshman so that I can get to know people before I move from California to Indiana in August.

Of course, since I'm entering Old College at Notre Dame (and living on ND's campus), I have a couple of friends already but I'd love to meet other HCC freshman.

I'm surprised there isn't like a Facebook fan page for HCC freshmen like they have for University of Portland or University of the Pacific freshman (I know they have one for HCC events and stuff though)...But, hopefully another HCC Saint is out there by any chance haha

Well a quick google search does show that there is a Holy Cross College at Notre Dame in Indiana. So I guess he’s not a ■■■■■ but you’re unlikely to find anyone else going there on CC.

There is a Holy Cross College that was founded in 1966 and was until fairly recently called Holy Cross Junior College that is located near Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana and run by the Holy Cross Fathers who also run Notre Dame. It is not ranked by US News.

College of the Holy Cross is the oldest Catholic college in New England founded in 1843 and is Jesuit-run. College of the Holy Cross is ranked 32nd in the national liberal arts category by US News.

I seriously want to meet other freshmen from HCC because right now, it seems like I’m the only one going there from the Class of 2015 (which I know is not the case…)

And yes, I know that there’s a College of the Holy Cross on the East Coast or whatever, but I’ll be attending HCC in Indiana.

This may seem like a strange request but I’m just kind of curious haha

Ok maybe I should have added some more information so I don’t come off as a “■■■■■.”

I’m headed out-of-state mainly because I want to pursue a vocation to the Roman Catholic priesthood at the Old College Undergraduate Seminary at the University of Notre Dame. So I’ll be living on campus with the other seminarians but will be taking classes at HCC.

I applied to Notre Dame but got placed on the waiting list. Looking back, I probably should have applied for early action but I wasn’t sure last December if I wanted to attend ND and preferred attending the local University of the Pacific in California. Then in May of 2011, ND informed me that they had filled their quota for the year and advised me to transfer next year (which I might do.)

I understand that HCC doesn’t have an illustrious atmosphere like College of the Holy Cross, but that’s not what I’m after. I’m just going to Indiana for the vocational possibilities.

Regarding my interest in contacting others from the Class of 2015 who will be attending HCC, I was just a bit jealous recently since my friends who will be attending the University of the Pacific just came home from a frosh retreat and had met people going to Pacific.

Sure, I have friends attending ND and Old College, but it would be nice to compare classes and get to know HCC freshman too since it seems kind of lonely (not really but if feels like that) haha

Ok, so I just started a discussion on one of HCC’s Facebook page so hopefully someone sees it. I might actually make the Facebook page for the HCC C/o 2015 too.

I’m not sure if my discussion will get views though, but at least I tried haha.
