<p>Dee Goens, a 6-foot senior guard out of Atlanta (Ga.) Marist, has a vision. “He’s always said if I’m not on a team in the league, I’d like to own one,” Marist coach Greg McClaire said. “He understands that balance.”
On Wednesday, Goens signed with Holy Cross. He averaged 14.5 points and five assists as a senior. </p>

<p>“He was trying to go to the best combination of academics and basketball he could go to. He was never really a kid … there are certain schools that he was never in awe of when it came to just basketball. He wanted the best of both and Holy Cross was that school. </p>

<p>“He said he’s going to take care of the books, take care of the stuff on the court, win and he’ll be off to the business world.” </p>

<p>Goens is the stepson of former NBA star Jalen Rose.</p>
