<p>My chances at getting into the College of the Holy Cross?</p>

<p>white male
public school
4.4 weighted gpa (unweighted I believe it is~3.85)
34 ACT: 31 writing, 33 math, 35 reading, 35 science
750 Physics Subject Test
740 Biology Subject Test
720 US History Subject Test
Previously Taken AP courses: Biology, US History, Physics
Current AP courses: Spanish, Lit and Comp, Calculus and Physics C
All other courses Level 1/Honors unless elective courses
National Honors Society
Mu Alpha Theta
Science National Honor Society
AP Scholar</p>

<p>2 season athlete ( Baseball and Track)
named captain junior year for track
All Conference Academic multiple seasons</p>

<p>involved with multiple service organizations over 4+ years
resume has strong emphasis on community service including self initiated service</p>

<p>My mother went to Holy Cross and my sister is currently there. (I would think this would help.)</p>

<p>I think you have a very, very strong chance. Interview and demonstrate why you want to be there and apply ED if it makes sense for you.</p>

<p>You have good stats. So why not consider Bucknell which is slightly higher rated by USN&WR?</p>

<p>Great stats but weak ECs. You’re still going to get in to Holy Cross…</p>

<p>Markham…I have looked quite a bit at Bucknell but Holy Cross is the better choice for me. HC is closer to major cities and in my opinion can offer more because of that. HC’s very strong alumni network is also an advantage. I also just get that feeling at Holy Cross. I liked Bucknell just not at much.</p>

<p>Holy Cross has a fantastic alumni network and agree its proximity to major cities is a big plus!</p>

<p>You will definitely get in especially with the family connections. It is much better geographic location than Bucknell.</p>

<p>From what I’ve heard HC puts a huge emphasis on letters of recommendation and essays, so we obviously can’t chance you properly if that’s the case. But in terms of stats I would be very surprised if you didn’t get in. </p>
