UA Fun Fact & Trivia:
What is “pomping” and where are these signs displayed?
The act of making elaborate and brightly colored signs with chicken wire and tissue paper for UAs Homecoming weekend on Sorority Row

Since I do too!! Very cute :). I love the Land of Oz one as well…especially since I live very close to that magical place (hmmm but we DO NOT root for ANY of the teams that wear red and blue from there…there’s a reason they burned Lawrence ).

Those are unreal! I love the picture frames one. They are all great!

Laughed when I read my D’s tweet that she would rather make 40 homecoming mums than ever pomp again. Maybe I should have her make her lil sisters mum for me :)

Last night my daughter made me a “how to” pomping video because I was so curious. I could not believe the work that goes into one 5x5 piece of tissue paper. She was kind of insulted when her dad thought it was just crushing up some paper!
I know that she alone spent over 40 hours pomping and though it was frustrating had fun and bonded with many sisters that she had never spent time with before.
I hated to tell her that I liked theWizard of Oz, Big Al and Alice in the car and the one with the gold frames more than her house.

They are all so great! When DD called yesterday she said she wished there was a big pomp museum where the year prior were on display for a year and old photos and video steam of past years shown…space obviously would be an issue but we both said that would be a fun museum to visit when coming to campus/T’town.
