Homeless Girl goes to College

^Exactly.
I think people get too caught up on here about the difference between a 2100 and a 2200 on the SAT that they often forget: the vast majority of high school seniors in the US are NOT attending the Ivy league or a top 40 university. They’re staying in-state and going to their state flagships or community/local colleges. This girl, who has faced more hardship than probably anyone on here, made it to college. Should she not be applauded for her efforts? I think it’s ridiculous to criticize her scores and such when she managed to get a 5.5 GPA while living homeless for part of the school year. There are far too many cynical, arrogant people on here… stop living inside your wealthy, privileged little box! We could all learn something from this girl’s story.
