In the transcript template we downloaded, there is a section called "credits earned." Should I list the credits I earned from grades 9 to 11, OR project the credits I will have earned at the end of grade 12? My deadline is January 1, and I would be really grateful if someone could answer me before then.

Put only the credits you have earned. If there is a way for you to do it, you can mark the others as “currently enrolled,” “pending,” or some other terminology. Colleges know that these classes are not yet complete, but they should be listed on your transcript without the final credits given. Over the summer, you’ll be asked to provide your final transcript, and at that point, you’ll apply the credits that you’ve earned this year.

Also, if you give .5 credits for each class completed each semester, you can go ahead and give those (if you’ve finished first semester).

My kids were given 1 credit at the end of the school year; they didn’t get .5 a credit for a class that was halfway through the year, if that makes sense.

Good luck with your app!!!

I did credits earned (up to that point), credits needed for graduation and credits expected (as I included senior year courses in a separate section on the transcripts near the top).

Thanks, everyone. I put “credits earned” and then “credits expected,” so that should be fine.
