Homeschooled Student.. What Are My Chances?

Hi,

I'm graduating next year, and I'll be the first in my homeschooeld family to do so.

I live in New York and I really would like to get into SUNY Stony Brook... (I want to be a doctor someday.)

My SAT scores aren't too great, but I'm hoping that colleges will somehow understand. I do plan on taking the SAT again in the fall.

I got a 590 in writing, 570 in reading, but only a 450 in math. :/ I have a GPA somewhere around 3.6.

I also will be applying to Dowling College, St. Joseph's College, and Suffolk Community College.

Any advice would be a appreciated.

Thanks.

I really hope someone replies to this… I could use the help, trust me!

How do homeschooled GPAs work?

yeah, I don’t think homeschool GPAs are very credible… try and raise that SAT score.
