Homeschoolers Applying To Canadian Universities

I'm a British homeschooled student who will require FA applying to some US and UK universities this autumn. I was also considering applying to some Canadian universities. However, I've heard that their admission requirements are quite strict for homeschoolers. Queen's, for example, requires a high school graduation diploma as well as a transcript:

Is it worth my finding out about other Canadian universities' requirements, anyway? Or, even if these universities don't specifically require a diploma as well as a transcript, would it be very hard to me to get into a Canadian university as a homeschooled student? (I would have SAT I and SAT II scores, two OU courses, and A-levels in the way of qualifications... but no diploma.)

Thanks.
