Homeschooling or lose a year?

Ok, so heres the story... I´ve been moving around a lot my whole life. Right now I live in Mexico and I´m a junior. The tuition of private american schools over here is pretty high but its worth it in the end since it can allow you to go to a good American college. Now, my parents are willing to pay for me to go to private school but until next year. That would mean not doing anything for a whole year.

So I have two choices.

I can either wait until next year, and go to a good high school for 11th and 12th grade and do the IB program, which is something really good.

Or,

I can do high school online right now for 11th grade and next year for 12th in either Keystone School online, or Laurel Springs School (also online).

Now I want to get some advice please preferably from an educator, but if you´re not an educator still give me some advice. Online I would take AP classes and such. Also, in your advice tell me which online school would be better... Please I really want some honest helpful advice.

I really want to get into a top college if possible... and want to get the best grades possible for junior and senior year. Please just tell me if you think I should wait a year and attend regular school or if I should start online AP as soon as possible..

Also, if I did online schooling I would be able to do more volunteer work.

Do you have the self-discipline to do online schools?

Note: if you decide to wait a year and go to regular high school, you don’t have to just “wait” - you can homeschool yourself and do work in related areas.

I do believe I have the self discipline to do online schooling. But would it be a good idea to do school online?

please anyone else? help me!
