How many hours do you spend on homework? And how many APs do you take?

Next year, I'm taking 3 or 4 APs along with a semi-AP (Italian IV) and am scared I won't get any sleep especially since most days I don't get home till 530 (ECs) and some nights, not till 8. Sometimes I don't get home till 11 =/

I'm in need of some serious time management tips !

I'm in 2 APs and I honestly spend a max of 1 hour doing HW each week. AP US History is really just a memorization class and not so much on application, so we have 2 class periods to read each chapter, 2 to discuss it, and 1 for a quiz.

AP English is just reading and an essay once every 6 weeks or so. The reading I do in my free period at school, the essays I pull all nighters the night before to finish.

It helps that in 3 of my classes homework is completely optional, and in 3 more the teachers don't assign any. It's my religion class that requires the most work--and is the most worthless.

It takes me 50 seconds to copy down what the assignment is. After I have exceeded my 50 second time limit, I'm afraid I cannot continue to do math homework. You see, writing down "Questions 17 - 49 odd, 51-76 even, 90-101, 126" [in Pig Latin] takes quite a while. If our teacher would change the assignment to "Question 1 -1 Even", it would allow me to spend the rest of my 50 seconds actually doing the assignment.

im taking 1 AP (APUSH! loveeee it...hah) and 2 honors (basically same level) right now, and I'm in a similar extracurric situation (do you do theatre?). i did sleep less this year, unfortunately, but you will always adjust and be ok. just come straight home and start doing work- it's better that way- that's what i struggle to do...

I'm taking 4 APs, 1 accelerated class, 2 foreign languages (accelerated only for native speakers), and 2 non-academic classes (band and gym). My non-AP classes take a total of .5 hr (1 hr tops), and my AP classes are usually .5 hr to 2 hr. each, but I don't always get homework in AP English.

The net time usually comes out to 3-5 (6 if I have to study) hours a night.

My chem (ap) hw alone takes about 3-8 hours per assignment... and it has usually 6-8 assignments for every one and a half week... so yeah, procrastination kills (maybe that's why my teacher has a 100% ap test pass rate)

depends what AP's you take i guess. im in ap calc, ap world history (im a soph.), ap chem, ap spanish, english honors. while managing to play varsity volleyball, varsity soccer, and varsity track as well as mock trial & a business internship. im home by 6-7 on most days and hw is done by 9.
