I was thinking about writing my essay on a personal experience i had with a homosexual teacher and how it changes my perspective on diversity and overall acceptance of different people. Im thinking about writing this from most of my schools...

Come on what do you think...

I'd say it depends on what the personal experience is

It sounds fine, but I heard that it is an overdone topic (probably for the common app issue of national concern question). I think if you write it well this could be a great essay, though. Just be careful not to insult any group of people or alienate any readers who have different views.

i agree ^..................

I wrote about it for case, but the focus wasn't on homosexuality. My focus was on how it took an eye-opening experience for me to overcome my negative feelings towards homosexuals instead of just homosexuality. It was more on my development as a person :)

Everything could be called overdone. I hate how people call just about any essay topic overdone. If you think about how many people a year right essays, how could not write something overdone

whatever you do, make it represent you, and make it something you're proud of. It doesn't matter if it's overdone, as long as it's whats right for you. Write for yourself, not for what you want them to hear.

Hahhahahahahhaaha

Why would you think this topic is bold? Because it involves sexualtiy? A teacher? I personally don't think it is bold....rather more mainstream. I mean look at the current political issues.....gay marriage, preisthood etc. You can read about this same topic on the front page of any major newspaper. It is good that it is your own experience but not so bold as to make you stick out.
