honest answer please...

do you guys sometime wish you guys went to "traditonal college" with football team??

I never did.

If you can't live without a football team, don't apply to NYU. It's that simple. (Besides, just having a football team doesn't mean they'll be any good.)

If you want to watch college sports you can go to the NYU "Tear it Up" events - they are free and they're actually not too bad.

Rotflmfao.

maybe for a second. Then I got laughed at by a homeless man and realized that this is the place for me.

Never understood the notion of a "traditional college experience", oh well.

No. I had to go to every single one of my high school's home football games as a member of the band, and I hated it. I'm not a fan, and besides, it'd be worse if we had a team, because it would definitely be terrible.

Honestly, I'm not sure what the traditional college experience is.

The history of NYU football.

Addendum. Note 1936. NYU played in one of the most famous football games; the 1936 upset victory over Fordham at Yankee Stadium. Highly favored Fordham featured the legendary "Seven Blocks of Granite", the offensive line anchored by Vince Lombardi. NYU won 7-6.

There are a lot of 'traditional' colleges where football is not at all important, so I'm not sure if you're really asking about the 'traditional' part or the football part.

My answer? To the first part, maybe, but only because I'm curious because I didn't have a traditional experience, not because I hated what I DID experience (in fact, I liked it very much). To the second part, no. If that had been an important factor in my college decision, I would've gone to UMich, as they are totally my team, this season's humiliation aside.

I wanted to go to a college that WASN'T focused on sports because my idea of a fun time doesn't include going to a school game. If yours is, don't come here. There ARE sports fans, but it's not a sports culture as you can probably tell by the board...

Ha. No.

Why would you need a football team when you have New York City at your fingertips?

Either way, you can always get the hilarious NYU Football shirt from the Bookstore.

Hey, if you want a crappy football team you could aways go to NYU and cheer for the G-men or the Jets...

football or...the vibrant cultural vibe of new york city? i dont know...that's hard
