extracurriculars and sports:
*field hockey jv- freshman and sophomore
*Our Next Generation (tutoring 4th grades from the inner city) - since it began in my sophomore year
*Study Buddy – freshman
*Miscilaneous volunteering, over 50hrs – soup kitchens, theater set construction, animal shelter, soccer game concession stands
*Karate – began sophomore year and accelerated through the bank ranks. now I’m a red belt and on the Demonstration Team (for the elite) along with the leadership team and black belt team. My gc told me to tell my instructors (who are impressed with my dedication) to call her and she can brag for me.
*math team – since freshman year
*science fair – always first in my category, since freshman year

And none of your freshman only ECs are going ot matter. No JV soccer, no babysitting, no one tiny part in a school play. The stuff you stayed with is what matters. Don't bother putting something that you quit after freshman year, unless you're still doing it, no one cares that you did horseback riding while you were in middle school.

Where is your GPA (I refuse to do the math myself), your SAT/ACT scores, etc?

Without those, it's hard to give your chances.

Brown will probably defer you. And Swarthmore might say no, because they're Swarthmore.

That said, your scores are great. And they should almost definitely get you into Oberlin, Carleton, Wash U, and Haverford. It's just that Brown and Swarthmore have more competitive applicant pools. And Swarthmore is just a)tiny and b)incredibly picky.
