I've taken AP Human Geography (4), AP US History (4), AP English Language & Comp (5), AP US Gov't (5), and I'm currently taking AP Literature & Comp, AP Enviro Sci, and AP Statistics.

I'm first generation. My family makes less than 50k. I'm also gay.

*ECs *- I'm editor in chief of the yearbook -- have been since junior year. I'm also president of Gavel Club (it's a public speaking organization derived from Toastmasters International) and I founded the literary magazine at our school, of which I serve as a co-editor. I'm vice president of Politically Active Students, which I helped found. I also am involved in the Youth Advocacy Board for our county, a group composed of the best high school students in our county who serve as a voice for local youth. I spearheaded a campaign to incorporate a comprehensive sex education plan in our red-blooded, conservative, religious town. I also blog for The Huffington Post and other publications.

I attended the Georgia Governor's Honors Program in Communicative Arts. I was awarded a regional Silver Key in Poetry for the Scholastic Arts & Sciences Competition. I'm an AP Scholar with Honor.

I'm very confident in my essays and supplements, and my recommendations were praise-worthy, lovely, and inspiring.

If accepted into Columbia, I hope to double major in English and Human Rights. I later want to get my M.A. in International Relations.

OK...so can you honestly chance me? Like, flat out tell me what my strengths are and what my weaknesses are. I'm just curious. How do you think Columbia will look at me?
