Can anybody who's attended/dormed @ Pace's NYC campus give me a rundown of what student life is like??

Coming from out-of-state (TX), will it be hard to make friends with fellow dormers and have a life outside studies?? Obviously there's ton to do in NYC but specifically I wanna know about what student life at the university consists of, I've heard previously it was kind of dull so I just want an honest opinion.

What you guys should do is look at a facebook group for the NYC pace a message some kids there asking or even just post the question on the wall. I’m going to Pace but in Pville, but from what I heard I wouldn’t think you have anything to worry about.

I go to Pace right now. It’s me second semester of my freshman year and all i can say is that i have absolutely no social life in this school. The main reason being, that i commute. If you go to this school DO NOT COMMUTE! It’s 10x more difficult to meet people. And i do NOT lack the social skills. There just isn’t time to meet people outside the cafeteria and classes ( i tried joining clubs and they’re horrible). So my only advice would be to dorm, i guarantee you’ll have a much better social life by dorming.

this school is horrible. 'nuff said. i got in without even sending in a transcript- i dont get why so many people are freaking out about their chances. as long as you have a freaking pulse- youll get in.

I have to agree with the post above me. I never sent my transcripts only because I already knew I was accepted into better schools. In the end, I did choose Pace only because of it’s location.

It does not offer a typical college exp. It has the potential (location, professors) to be an amazing school, but the typical Pace student really makes it hard for the school to progress.

are the 2 letters of recommendation absolutely required in order for the application to be complete?

i am applying as a transfer student for their business program. does anyone know the transfer deadline for pace university? their website only states feb 15th, 2010 as the deadline for first year students, and transfer nursing and theater students. please help, thanks.
