alright i have about 5 days before the stanford application deadline and I have not started on any of the essays. I am also not a very good writer, so I was wondering if I should still apply to stanford here are my stats

act 33 have taken 12 times( which will be frowned upon)
unweighted gpa 4.00
8 ap courses
very little community service
have a job
take part in 3 clubs but no leadership position

Go for it. As for the ACT, don’t worry. Just send your best score to Stanford (the 33 composite); they won’t see how many times you’ve taken it.

As for the essays, all I can say is be real but be creative. Out of the 10 people that applied to Stanford SCEA from my school, only one person got it. They all had the grades, but the one person who got in really was “different”, and made that shine through.

If you need help with the essays, don’t be afraid to PM me.

Stanford may still know about the 12 times. Many high schools put the “score stickies” on transcripts.

Was the 12 times over several years? What were the composite scores of the last 4 or 5 tests? If you only got a 33 one time after many attemps taken within a short time, that won’t look good.

No offense but did no one ever tell you that taking the ACT 12 times would be frowned upon? Really?

With five days to go, I would say your chances of writing compelling essays for a Stanford application to be non-existent. I can’t believe you are serious in your efforts to obtain a Stanford acceptance. That’s 100% honest.
