Anyway, who's going to Berkeley with me next fall?:)

hi hypnosx! i got rejected by berkeley prob becoz i was accepted by ucla lol (the everlasing myth) but i'm turning it down anyway

got rejected by both berkeley and ucla, Bleh...

hmm, lets BUMP this thread! so... did any of you apply to the UK too? how did that go?
i applied for mech engineering, and might accept Imperial Offor... btw anyone know what happens if you accept an offor in the UK, but then go to college in the US?

well i'm pretty sure they wouldn't send the royal army across the atlantic to drag us back, right? LOL ;)

HAHA, i m not sure :S ... depends how badly they want you ;)

that's a very disturbing thought, chirag. suddenly i'm thinking of that "kidnap the giants" scene from The BFG.

bumpity bump!

Hi all Hong Kongers~

In uk- i am accepted by warwick, imperial, bath, king's, nottingham, LSE

In us- virginia, usc, rice, waiting for michigan

I am going to take business management, and am considering between LSE, warwick, imperial, uva and usc, what do u guys think? I have been headachy about it :S

id take LSE or imperial
afterall buz is what its famous for

leigh787 - you crack me up... HAHA!

charmingmiao - id prolly go to LSE / Warwick... just curious, wht are ur SAT stats for the US like? Imperial is more for sci/tech. but then again i dont like the weather in the UK!! US all the way for me baby!!

chirag: I do? LOL what the heck, my pleasure.

Ya know, I was feeling kind of sorry for myself about not getting into my dream school, but really, how can I compare to [thread=47867]this guy[/thread]?

hey guys...just returned from HK a few days ago...

HKIA rocks !!...it damn beautiful...didnt want to get out of there for quite some time !!

hm. you're out, I'm in-- I'm going back to HK today.

good morning all... well for those of you in HK now. wow, must have really sucked for that guy eh leigh787? so where u from btw, u in college already?

ahtsisab - the airport a couple of years ago was terrible, it looked like a metal jungle! they have decorated the place with trees now, albeit artificial ones! hehe

...And my 300th post goes to... drumroll the HK thread!! Well I would've loved to dedicate it to my dear Cornell, but HK wins in the end, if only because it's my hometown LOL!

chirag-- I totally agree about the airport being some metal jungle. Really, with all those steel bars criss-crossing you could do a modern Tarzan act in there.

And no, not in college yet. Heading for it in sept, tho! Looking very mucho forward to it, I am. :)

yah i had been to the old airport as well...a long time ago....when i was a little boy...dont remember what it exactly looked like...its definitely better now...the weather was great as well !!!

i miss HK too, even tho i am from Guangzhou....anyway...i was wondering how to apply for HKU, 'cuz in my school back in China, (HSFZ) they give a certain number of students admission according to their GPA at our grade........but do HKU take GPAs? is it hard to get FA?? thank ya

basistha- ooooh the old airport! There were so many flats near it that the wing tips practially touched them trying to land. I remember getting a very real sense of my own mortality the last time I touched down there... gimme metal jungle anytime.

mayflower... maybe you should email HKU admission office and im sure they'd give you the correct answers you want
