I am going to take this course (religious study) next semester just because it's an honor course so I think that it will look great on my transcript and specially if I do well. I don't like it and I will not transfer it to my prospective school. So should I stick to this course just to use it to impress the colleges where I will apply or should I take something more practical that I like and that can be useful? I have a 3.7 GPA, I didn't do too well in HS so I thought that taking an honor class can show them how good I become academically. I am a member of the school Honor Program. I am also taking a 400 L class in my major even if I am just a freshman. My adviser thinks that I can handle it and I am sure that I will do well. Thanks for your advice

P.S I am thinking of taking instead introduction to oral communication or something else.

If you aren’t interesting in the topic, and are just taking it to try to impress other colleges, I would advise against it. You probably won’t enjoy the class, and your grades will reflect that, and there goes your edge with the other colleges. Also, why don’t you think that 400-level class won’t achieve the same goal?

I wanted to take the Honor class because I didn’t do that well in High School. Yeah I think that the 400 class might be good too but don’t get me wrong. I am taking the 400 one just because I like the topic and it’s in my major. My adviser was trying to get me into a class that I like but it’s too full.
If I am not lucky and I don’t get into a new school, I can still use the 369 class to fulfill general education requirement in my current school. But I think that I will take your advice and do something else. My college GPA is 3.7 so I guess that it should show that I can do well in college. Las semester I took three 200 level classes.

Hey I just check my deam school syllabus, it seems that the 400 level course that I want to take is a 200 level at this college. So I guess that I will not show them that my course is extremely competitive
